3D Imaging

Detailed imaging can make a meaningful difference when planning oral surgery. Our CS 9600 3D imaging system gives our team a closer look at the teeth, jaws, bone, and surrounding anatomy so we can better understand what is happening and plan your care with greater precision.

The system uses cone beam computed tomography, or CBCT, to create detailed three-dimensional images in a matter of moments. Rather than relying only on traditional two-dimensional X-rays, your oral surgeon can view the area from multiple angles and evaluate structures that may be important to your procedure.

We can also adjust the size of the scan based on what needs to be evaluated. By focusing the imaging on the appropriate area, we can gather the information needed for treatment planning while limiting unnecessary radiation exposure.

Having 3D imaging available in our office also helps make your consultation easier to understand. Your doctor can review the images with you, show you what they are seeing, explain how those findings relate to your treatment, and answer your questions before moving forward.

When your care involves a referring dentist or another provider, digital imaging can also be shared as needed to help everyone involved in your treatment stay informed and coordinated.
